Hello Everyone

We are coming to the end of our first year in business, and what a tremendous year it has been.  We started out in February with the idea of selling gift hampers to expats that have settled in the UK.  From there we have evolved to creating gorgeous gift baskets for all occasions.  We started creating our gift baskets in much the same way as everybody in the UK does, by lying items flat in the baskets, yet although they looked pretty we were not happy with the presentation.  So we searched for ways to improve this.  Through trial and error, searching for inspiration and studying books on gift basket design, we now design gift baskets a cut above the rest and are extremely proud of our achievements.

In the next year we are planning on joining the Gift Basket Association and also doing our exams to become qualified gift basket designers. Qualifying as a gift basket designer is not a prerequisite for designing gift baskets, however we believe that qualifying will increase our credibility and help with our design skills.  So why are we doing all this?  After careful study of the gift basket industry in the UK we believe that the UK customer is being sold short on the gift basket designs available to you.  We believe that you deserve better, and with the price of gift baskets being what it is, we believe that more thought should be put into the contents of a gift basket as well as the overall presentation.  Unlike the US market, the UK market does not put much thought into the design of gift baskets, and I believe many (especially home based suppliers) think that placing a few items in a basket and finishing it with a pull bow is good enough.  We don't - as we have said we believe that you have the right to expect more from your gift basket.  We think that when you give a gift basket, the receiver should be wowed by the overall presentation as well as the contents.  For this reason we do not generally use pull bows, but rather opt to  create our own hand made bows.  We also strive to make the overall design and layout appealing.  This not only makes each basket unique, but gives a much better finish to the basket.

Hopefully during the course of the next year or two we will also look at becoming licensed to sell alcohol, which will in turn allow us to place wine, beer or other alcohol products in our baskets.  As it is illegal to provide alcohol without a license we are unable to supply wine or other alcohol products until we are licensed to do so.

We hope that each of you has been extremely happy with your purchases over the past year.  We at World of Hampers have made it our mission to keep improving on our gift basket designs and offer you gift baskets for future occasions that will continue to impress both yourself and the receiver of the gift.  Our promise to you is that we will always strive to create gorgeous gift baskets that you will be proud to give as gifts.

November's News - Gift Basket Design

Hello everyone.

Wow, we have had a busy month in November, sales have increased and we have been honing our gift basket design skills.  We believe our customers deserve the very best from us and we will constantly strive to improve our design skills.

Too many gift basket suppliers do not realise that there is a design skill to creating a great gift basket and we are proud to say that we believe our gift basket designs can hold their own against some of the best in the world.  All of this while still keeping our prices competitive and free UK delivery.

We have introduced some really cute containers and these containers along with the contents, colours and overall presentation means that you can give a gift that will undoubtedly make an impression.  

This lovely little Watering Can Gift Basket is an example of a gift that any woman would be happy to receive. 

  

We have added a colourful basket that would make a great Christmas present or with it's cheerful colours would also make a fantastic Get Well Soon gift.

   

Our favourite basket designed this month has to be this fabulous Christmas basket.  Filled with chocolates, a super Santa mug and a gold candle.  Great care was taken with this design and the basket was finished with gorgeous floral embellishments, making this gift one that will be admired at length before temptation takes hold to take it apart to get to those delicious chocolates.  

     

Along with designing some amazing gift baskets, we have introduced a Create Your Own category.  In this category you get to choose a basket, the fillers and the bow and we will put it all together along with embellishments that we think will compliment your choices.  

We have also had a repeat order for a Mexican Food Hamper.  This is the best recommendation that we could have.  Repeat orders are always the best, with customers reiterating that they enjoyed their hamper the first time round and have the confidence that you will not fail to deliver another great hamper.

We are extremely proud of our accomplishments this month and wanted to share these with you.  We will not become complacent though and will keep working hard on our gift basket design skills to continue to bring you, our valued customers gift baskets and hampers that will bring pleasure to both yourself as the gift giver and the recipient of your gift.
